Poll — 2016 Connecticut Taxes

Three short questions about taxes:

Mileage Tax

The current Administration and the majority Democrats in the State Legislature are investigating a mileage tax that would tax  motorists in Connecticut on every mile driven, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Are you in favor of a mileage tax?

Personal Income Tax Increase

The current Administration and the majority Democrats have implemented the two largest income tax increases in Connecticut history in the last six years.  As a result the state has collected more tax revenue than ever before.  Instead of using those funds more efficiently Democratic legislators have suggested that they will need to raise the state income tax if they are reelected because they want to increase spending.

Are you in favor of yet another increase in the state income tax?

Retroactive Income Tax Increase

The current Administration and the majority Democrats, despite enacting the largest retroactive state income tax increase in history, have produced budget deficits in each of the last six years.  With a billion dollar plus deficit on the horizon, another large tax increase could be just around the corner.

Should retroactive taxes be permitted to close budget deficits?
