The Connecticut Business and Industry Association (CBIA) today endorsed Toni Boucher for re-election to the state senate , representing the 26th District.
Connecticut’s continuing slow recovery from the recession makes it incumbent upon policymakers to focus their energies on improving the climate for creating more jobs and opportunities in the state. Over 100,000 jobs have been lost in Connecticut since that beginning of the recession, and voters need ro know which candidates will make the hard decisions needed to jump start the economy.
“Most voters say jobs and the economy are their top issues,” says John R. Rathgeber, CBIA President and CEO. “ Connecticut clearly needs lawmakers who can restore business confidence in our state so that employers invest, grow, and create jobs here. We believe Ton Boucher is committed to making Connecticut a better state in which to do business, which means more and better jobs for our residents.
“ On issues like fiscal responsibility and education reform, Toni Boucher has been a leading voice in Hartford for making Connecticut a stronger, more competitive state. She is tireless in her work for her constituents, and we urge voters to return her to Hartford.”
Boucher, who lives in Wilton, is seeking the 26th District, which includes Bethel, New Canaan, Redding, Ridgefield, Weston, Westport, Wilton.
